1.21 Snow day!

I'm sorry we didn't get to meet tonight - but snow days are always an exciting bonus. 

I'm hoping most everyone will  get acquainted with the blog, the syllabus, and the calendar  and follow through on the assignments for next week.

Assignments: 

1. Read through the syllabus + calendar (so we can talk through them quickly next week)

2. Buy your book and read: Beard, p. 3,"Out There," Marquart, p. 118, "Some things about that day," Lopate, p,107, "Portrait of my body," Ebert,p.258, "I think I'm musing my mind," (then check out a couple entries + comments on his blog

3. Create your blog and send my your blog url in the course email.

 

Creating your blog.

Many of you have used blogger for another class.  If you have never used blogger, and you have questions - stop by my office and I will walk you through .  The blog links to the right are "dummies" (no urls) and I am hoping that during the next week you will create an actual blog and send me the link so we can be connected.

Directions:

Go to your Kean Google account, and click the little apps icon (the 9 boxes up in the right hand corner). Icon will open up to a list of apps with more. . . at the bottom.  Click "more"; then click Blogger.

Click the link for creating a new blog and follow the directions.

After you have created your blog, create a test post, then click "view blog".

Copy the url (my url is :  http://eng4017.blogspot.com/ ) and send it to my via the course email.

I will add your link to the list at the right.  We will talk through the privacy settings in class.
